Bette Midler does a wonderful version of this. Tom is terrific as always but his talent really genuis for writing songs and playing music is far better than he can perform. The difference between genius and excellent are on completely different levels. His Writing- out of this world A++, his musical talent, A, his singing....? The grade varies wildly. I've read Corso's book; The Day After Rosswell. The problem I have is the USA military assumption that the extraterrestrials were war like and intended to invade the Earth. They are even referred to as creatures. Finally the assumption that once the USA had back engineered the star people's ( My title.) electronics to make new advanced weapons they had saved the world from invasion. LISTEN! If the star people - who are probably a million light years in advance of humans - intended to invade the Earth they could have done it decades ago. But they didn't. My theory is their concern that the primitive creatures of earth as so aggressive and war like they need to be kept an eye on. Their military installations watched. of all the interviews I've seen on youtube about this subject matter. Corso comes across the most legit. The only thing I don't get is why he didn't make the time to observe the alien bodies and the flying saucer more closely. What did he mean he didn't have enough time. So much opportunity wasted. I wonder if there are other things he's not willing to disclose.

In his book, The Day After Roswell, he mentions his work on the Warren Commission. That was a farce. Now I doubt his motives in his writings.

Considering our war torn history as a species and our inconsiderate feeling for other species, we could become a threat to the other species of the galaxy, if we were to have the technology that the aliens appear to have. We would have a chance to become like the Star Trek species known to us as the war focused Klingons. The Klingons describe our species more than we would care to admit.

Visitations by aliens, that were totally out of the control of the world's military organizations, must have scared the shit out of them, especially since they had no way to determine if these visitations were friendly or not. I can understand the top military officials concern and their concern about a possible invasion and of not letting the public know anything about them. Imagine being told officially by the government that aliens exist and that the government doesn't know what their motives are or if they are friendly or not. We might become a more paranoid species than we already are.

Corso is so calm and natural, and gives his point of view and feelings in such a convincing way, I have no doubt that what he says is true. His main objective at the time was protecting us, but he failed to realize that these beings have been here for so long, that they could have attacked and conquered our species long ago. I've come to the conclusion, based on these beings ambivalent observation of us, that we might be one of their experiments. Our violence towards our own species throughout history must be puzzling to them and our development of nuclear weapons must scare them. We have to consider them much more intelligent then us, and I believe that a higher intelligence breeds a higher level of empathy towards all living creatures, and so they have left us to our own development or destruction. They could have wiped us off the earth a long time ago, but since they haven't, they should be considered friendlies.
